Work in Progress

Thursday, July 31, 2014

I haven't posted in quite some time... pretty much almost a year.

I think part of the reason why I haven't is because I keep telling myself that I need to have some amazing content to put out there and that gives me this stress of thinking that I might not be able come up with anything worth reading. I'm trying to get over this and just put myself out there. I have some great ideas that I'd really like to share.

I am going to get this blog up and running. This means I need to overhaul the design and cultivate some more content, but my goal is to get it going before the end of August.

I recently stumbled upon a collage on Pinterest, and although the link was missing, I was able to find the website through a reverse image search on google. The collage work I found was inspiring.

I feel like embroidering quotes on to the back of a t-shirt would also be super cute (I feel a DIY coming on).

Perfectly Retro Kate Spade SS 2013

Friday, March 29, 2013

I know I posted about Kate Spade yesterday, but I like her Spring/Summer 2013 collection even more than  her fall.

The collection was a perfect mix of retro vibes and modern styling with bright colors and bold patterns. I loved the Mondrian inspired prints as well.

I'm a huge fan of wristlets so of course I think that wicker apple bag is super cute. Also, I would love to own those silvery shoes.

Bows and mint are a perfect combo. This is definitely something I would wear all the time. I'm considering a diy of an old cardigan by cutting it into shrug length and adding lots of bows similar to this, but probably in pink.

I love the rubbery-looking pink basket bag. Would be so cute with a long strap as well. And the lucite necklace definitely completes the look.

Perfect pink pumps, and the suit is just adorable with that skinny pink belt.

I have a crush on this skirt. SO cute.

Perfect mix of all of my favorite colors. It's so summery and the stripes remind me of  '70s polyester prints.

All pink everything is my dream.

Kate Spade F/W 2013 Ready-to-Wear

Thursday, March 28, 2013

I'm probably a little late on this, but can I just say how much I love Kate Spade? The ridiculously huge bows, bright colors, and awesomely exaggerated peplums are just fantastic.

The polka dots on these pants and her collar are just amazing. I feel like I've really been attracted to black and white prints lately.

Peplums are a trend that I hope never goes away. I definitely won't stop wearing them. I think they're pretty much universally flattering. When I'm having a bad day and don't know what to wear, a peplum is a quick way to make an outfit better without even really trying.
